Response to rape |

I read in her book that her husband was mad at her, because she did not fight the rapist off and that she had an orgasism. I think she was upset that it happened in front of her husband, but I think that she may have enjoyed it. I mean, you just can not turn off your nerves. Plus she is still very open sexually in her work. So I do not think the actual act traumatized her, but the having someone break into her home and stealing her belongings made her mad. I have heard on some cases women that were raped actually enjoyed the sex more than being with their significant other, that's why they felt so much guilt. We have some animalistic ways, saying that rape is about power not sex is a an excuse to deny that animal instinct in us. I had a girl tell me that women fantasize about being taken by a man. I am not in any way trying to trivialize rape, because some of the rapes can be quite hideous and brutal. I feel that whoever takes a woman should be justly punished. I could not imagine my wife being taken by another man and being forced to watch her. | |
