| - Each year, 1.5 million innocent unborn children die. This is mostly because of thier parents' mistakes. Thera are an excess of abortions right now and this needs to be stopped. This is completly unnacceptable. Abortion needs to be outlawed before anymore innocent children die.
First of all, the unborn baby shouldn't have to pay for their parents' mistakes. If they don't want to have a child, then they should think before they do something stupid like getting pregnant. Even if they they do end up pregnant, there are alternatives. The most obvious would be adoption. There are thousands of excellent families in the United States who would gladly take in a child.
These unborn children are "alive". They are growing, and developing and LIVING. And since the unborn child will most likely grow up and live a happy, healthy life; shouldn't he or she already be classified as "alive"? And if the baby is is considered "alive", wouldn't abortion then be considered murder?! The constitution provides that all people be given the chance at "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". Doesn't abortion deny the child all threeof these basic principles of the constitution upon which this country was founded?!We should at least give the child a stab at life. This is all that I am asking.
Some people would say that it should be the parents' choice whether or not the child lives. i totally disagree with that statement. How can it possibly be the choice of the parent on whether or not the child lives?! That is ludicrous!
I hope that someday soon the Supreme Court will finally settle this case and I hope that the justices vote for life. Abortion is murder and I can't believe the way that people justify it. I hope that this essay caused you to think twice about your "Pro-Choice" stance, or strengthened your "Pro-Life" stance. All I have to ask of you now is to vote for "Life". After all, your mother did! |
