i have just started my family tree and the name dobbin comes from co.antrim. the dobbins family come from co.waterford.there seems to be a slight difference of opinion whether the two are connected. i think they are. i would be pleased to hear from you or anyone with an interest in the dobbin-dobbins family.TOM
