"temporary waiver program is a dry bone thrown to a lucky few bar owners"
Oswego County bar owners continued their fight against New York's smoking ban at the County Legislature's Health Committee meeting Monday afternoon. The group asked the committee for its assistance in communicating with state legislators in Albany.
Reports of defiance and activism keep expanding. New York State's smoking ban must be repealed. The red-tape strewn temporary waiver program is a dry bone thrown to a lucky few bar owners. Prohibition doesn't work, and New Yorkers will pound that message in, till their legislators in Albany finally get it. Bar owners have had it with anti-smoking fanaticism. Smokers have too. They will not pay $6 in government tribute on a $1 product. They will not obey senseless and draconian restrictions. They will not abide vicious vilification. They will rebel against a government which makes itself their enemy.
