WINNIPEG (CP) -- Manitoba's cash-strapped NDP government estimates its gambling profits will plunge more than $27 million this year and continue to tumble the following year thanks to smoking bans across the province.

Government Ministers (Officials) are now on record blaming revenue losses due smoking bans.

The Anti PARASITES are nothing but a collection of job squatting losers working under special interest groups, stealing public funds and raising unmeployment levels.

"Next year the decrease will be higher, obviously, because it will be a full year," said Smith.

The Anti Smoking PARASITES have finally been discredited by government officials. No one will buy their lies and deceit any longer.

Now figure 27 million and double this figure considering it is not a full year so let's make it 50 million.

50 Million in gambling revenue losses alone. Throw in another 50 million for the bars & pubs which is reasonable so now we are at 100 million. Lots of jobs are history and lots of tax revenue with it.

Manitoba being about the quarter population of Ontario lets just multiply those figures 4 times and were already at 400 million dollars in losses easily.

PUBCO has made a mistake. Instead of suing the Province of Ontario for 500 million dollars in losses they should be looking at suing for 1 Billion dollars in losses spread over two years.

Those customers left in droves and never returned, so suing for losses of one year is not realistic as they are gone for good.

Meanwhile, the Manitoba Lotteries Corporation says its net income for the last nine months of 2003 totalled $186 million.

That's down 10 per cent from the same period in 2002.

Spokeswoman Susan Olynick says the smoking bylaw in Winnipeg has kept some people from going to the casinos or playing video lottery terminals.
