Hillarious...Heather Crowe’s story has more problems than a used car.

The Ottawa Citizen has reported a story with great symitry. It seems our beloved Governor General, Adrienne Clarkson, another one of Chretien’s patronage appointments who regularly uses the public trough as her personal piggybank, flying all over the world for dubious conferences, bestowed a medal on Heather Crowe for her” tireless campaign to raise public awareness about the dangers of smoking.”

For those of you unaware here is a brief encapsulation of the Heather Crowe story. Mrs.Crowe, who claimed never to have smoked a cigarette in her life claimed to have gotten lung cancer from second-hand smoke. The first two doctors Mrs. Crowe approached with this story laughed her out of their offices. Mrs Crowe then went to the local city of Ottawa Public Health Quack who recognizing a potential propaganda windfall championed her case. Physicians For A Smoker Free Canada then paid Mrs. Crowe a huge sum to travel around Canada and the world spreading her campaign of lies and hate.

Heather Crowe’s story has more problems than a used car. First, it’s problematic if she now has or ever had lung cancer. Lung Cancer generally kills within 3-6 months of diagnosis. Heather Crowe’s Traveling Salvation Show has now gone on for about 3 years. Treatment for Lung Cancer, such as Chemo is debilitating. Heather Crowe is like the Energizer Bunny. She just keeps going and going and going…

Stephen Hartwell of Smokers Rights Canada has informed me that over 50 lawyers turned down a chance to sue the tobacco companies on her behalf. Its one thing to bamboozle a gullible media that is hard pressed to cover fires, another thing entirely to walk into a Canadian Courtroom where the rules of evidence apply.

There are 40 documented causes of lung cancer in non-smokers. Second-hand smoke ain’t one of them.
