I've again and again read how wonderful this Valrhona chocolate is supposed to be. Being Swiss, I'm of course pretty sceptical as we've - autocratically of course - been claiming the title of best chocolate makers for ourselves since Adam and Eve. The concept of French chocolate just doesn't fit our minds. Lindt - BTW - is to Swiss chocolate what Heiniken is to beer, OK but pretty generic.
And these prices ! $4.60 for a 100 g bar of 70 % cocoa dark bitter chocolate ??? The same amount of 73 % from a local store costs 75 cents here.
This Valrhona stuff isn't available in Switzerland, so I'd like to ask if somebody visiting the AP event next month could make me eat my words and bring me a bar or two. I'd really like to try it and compare.
