Response to Has anybody been to the French Laundry in Yountville ?
I wonder just how much of each dish one would have to "taste"? I'll give anything, food-wise, a go though, so... I initially thought that they might have served, say, all the fish dishes on one "fish" plate, which could work, but I don't see how that format would be possible given the order in which things are listed on the menu.
Some of the dishes sound quite unusual, e.g. cauliflower panna cotta with caviar; bone marrow custard (?); and striped bass with mint sauce and carrots (just mint and fish seems uncommon to me for some reason). I wouldn't mind trying the white truffle oil custard with black truffle sauce, and also the white truffle ice cream.
