Response to "a white truffle ice cream float in white truffle soda" - that sounds nice...
The white truffle ice cream (and the soda for that matter) were exquisite partially because it's so hard to imagine what they would taste like and certainly hard to convey afterwards as well. The best I can come up with is a sweet, creamy, white truffle butter of sorts. Definitely not overly sugary. The soda was also not overly sweet and the white truffle infusion was perfectly balanced. Not overpowering, yet very present. I don't know if white truffle was in season at the moment (are there seasons for such a thing?) or if the chef just had a particularly good batch or something but there were several options with white truffle among the various courses (including a white truffle risotto that was fabulous).
