I posted a pretty lengthy response to this several days ago? Oh well, the joys of the 'net.
Essentially I said that whilst I know that Darjeeling is divided into various classes, I don't know which individual estates are the best. I don't drink Darjeeling myself, preferring as I do malty Assams and various white teas (and I can't even recall the names of those, as I have a pathetic memory for names... actually, I have a pathetic memory full-stop).
Probably worth finding a good tea store and asking their advice (I'll try to ask in the place that I buy my tea when next I'm in). I need to start drinking more tea as I'm trying to cut back on my caffeine intake, and the good thing is that you can brew a good cup of tea in a mug, unlike with coffee (the store that I buy my tea from makes up its own teabags with good quality tea, which is a boon for those office-bound tea fans).
What Darjeelings have you tried so far, Steven, and what did you think of them?
