Wednesday night, Woolensky and I met over at Alain Ducasse for a little dinner, drinks, and reminiscing about old times (Alain says "hi" to everyone here, btw.). Anyway, he admitted (after a few White Russians) that this killer Cab is really Charles Shaw's new Cabernet Sauvingnon, aka, "Two Buck Chuck". This stuff is on sale at Trader Joes everywhere for $1.99 a bottle. He also confided that his "Breguet" wristwatch was really bought from a street vendor in Times Square for $19.99. "Times are tough in the steak business, I'm sorry to say.", he said with a tear forming in his eye. I told him it's OK, and we all still love him (as well as Smith) anyway.
