Am I the only person who finds that curry (or any highly-spiced food) and wine just don't mix? I find the spices kill the taste buds, and that the very pronounced flavours of the food just don't enable one to appreciate it properly. For me, the only alcohol that really works with curry is cold beer - though here I could just be betraying my uncouth, misspent youth
