My Indian Food "Crisis" In London

Tamarind is one of my absolutely favorites in London and I have eatend there quite literally dozens of times. Now however I wring my hands. Not because Tamarind has slipped at all. It hasn't; it is just as good as always.

However just a couple of blocks away is Benares. The chef there is the former chef of Tamarind (and the one who lead the restaurant to getting its Michelin star). The food at Benares is simply out of this world.

So here is the crisis. If I can have only one Indian meal on a given swing through London, which place will it be? Tamarind or Benares?
