on a few occasions I find the meal is near perfect until dessert. Often Danko's desserts are overwhelming to the point that they dwarf the meal (which is a pity). I will be there in about 6 weeks for a celebration. Perhaps things have changed a little.
If you are ever in the Bay Area again I highly recommend Delfina and Chez Panisse. Neither have ever disappointed and if you need other Purists to dine with, I am sure I can rustle a few to lumber along.
Impressed that by the quantity of food in one day. If I ate as much I would be Walrus sized by now and probably hanging out with the seals on Pier 41.
