I have been thinking of writing a little something about the Hotel des Horlogiers for some time now. Good food, althought quite expensive. Instead of something complete here just 2 infos.
It is not so strange that they have their own chocolates, Guignard, who runs both the Hotel des Horlogiers and Le Breguettes, is actually a patissier, his "home store", patisserie, is in Orbe. (Mr. Guignard is also the president of the Lausanne Sports soccer club in Lausanne).
For me the very special part of the Hotel des Horlogiers is the interior decoration. It was recently renovated and is very warm and friendly. It is the only hotel that I can remember being in where I actually thought; "how can I get one of the pictures hung in my room out of this place without being noticed". Of course I didn't steal any pictures, but the whole hotel is full of wonderful paintings, landscapes from the area that exude the pieceful calm quality of the Vallee.
