Even their "plain" prime beef, not even the hallowed, near mythical "Kobe" beef, puts beef from anywhere else to shame in terms of marbling and tenderness. There just is no comparison, and makes US (and elsewhere) "Kobe" beef a joke.
BUT...given the amount of marbling, and resulting tenderness, the "real stuff" is not for everyone, and even for hardcore beefeaters like me (I order the beefbowl cut at Lawry's, and order my ribeyes rare to medium rare at Smith and Wollensky's or AJ Maxwell's, and finish it all, even gnawing the bone sometimes...) even more than a (few) thin slices can be too much...
