It must be a cultural thing. I worked in multinational companies and the Australian, Swedish, British, French, Japanese and Singaporean workers could never understand the strange fascination that Americans had for a cookie that crumbled into a mouthful of dry bitter (faux chocolate) powder stuck together with the sweetest white goo. It was even worst in in a flurry impregnated into a McIce cream
It is fascinating that Oreos were originally developed in 1912 by Nabisco to attract British customers because they considered Nabisco products at the time to be too 'boring'. Oreos never really made it onto the whole British market until 2008 when Kraft did a full launch.......Gawd help the Brits!
