Taiwanese cuisine is less common in Australia, so on a visit to Malaysia I tried this busy eatery at Jalan Imbi (note that there are several other Fong Lye restaurants and tea houses in KL).

We waited outside in the rain for a table for 45 minutes, which augured well for the quality of the food, as the line of people behind us kept growing.

The ambience is casual and the service was good, although a little rushed. But the food was tasty and we shared an enjoyable meal. Here are some of the highlights ...
