Something I saw in the FT a little while ago - "The Perfect Sommelier".
The reviewer said that whilst he couldn't get to it work "the rest of the world, including people who know more about wine than I ever will, say it does, with bells on." It's an American-made gadget that uses to magnets "to age and soften sharp, over-young wines." The head of wine buying at Waitrose (the food branch of the John Lewis chain of department stores) said "We have found it make many different wines appear softer and more advanced."
