So, it hit the mid 90's where I live today. But instead of hiding inside with the air conditioner set on Tsunami, I decided to ride into the valley of death (apologies Lord Tennyson)!
I traveled to a favorite cafe, asked to be seated "Al Fresco" and proceeded to have an excellent Ahi tuna salad along with a wonderful little Pinot Gris from Oregon's King Estate... chilled just right.
This Vin Glace (2001) is a terrific PG, sweet and fruity without being too much of either. And at $15 a bottle, a great buy.
Nothing better on a sweltering summer day than a great bottle of Pinot Gris.
