Fresh produce, the start of a great meal. I hope you love exploring markets for raw ingredients as much as I do. I particularly enjoy doing this when travelling to new places. You can get a real insight into the locals by seeing how they shop and eat. These photos were taken in open street markets in Paris in early May 2012.

Yum!

You may be right, which, is why I despair

I am in N.Wales this month (June 2012) and fresh produce for 95% of the population is convenience-supermarket plastic wrapped polystyrofoam trays of irradiated, acetylene-gassed vegetables grown in Nederlands.....

We have a great farmer's market

June 7 2012, 6:02 PM

Just outside my office in Santa Monica there's a great farmer's market every Wednesday and Saturday. They promote organic and sustainable agriculture from small local farms. A lot of top chefs in LA come early to get the best produce.
But I wished they had that fresh seafood like in your pics.

Regards,

I experienced that market with my family in April 2011. Stayed in Santa Monica for a week before heading to NY for a week. Sampled many restaurants around there as well. Great memories. Hope to be back

Cheers, dreamer
