The Vancouver Giants have announced Jason Ripplinger (left) has signed a mult-year contract with the hockey club as the team's Director of Player Personnel.
Ripplinger has been with the Giants since they entered the Western Hockey League in 2001. The native of Regina, Saskatchewan is responsible for the Giants scouting staff who identify junior hockey prospects from across western Canada and the northwestern United States. Jason is also in charge of conducting the WHL Bantam Draft on behalf of the hockey club as well as updating the Giants Player Protected List.
"Jason has done a fantastic job in bringing in players who have made a huge impact on our organization the past few years," says Giants General Manager Scott Bonner. "He and our scouting staff don't get enough credit for the success of our team. We are very proud to have Jason remain with our team into the future."
The Giants have also renewed the contract of Terry Bonner. Terry is responsible for identifying and recruiting Giants prospects and draft hopefuls throughout the lower mainland of British Columbia.
Jason, Terry, and the rest of the Giants scouting staff are busy preparing for the annual WHL Bantam Draft. The draft will take place May 1 in Calgary, Alberta.
