VANCOUVER GIANTS AND BC HONDA ANNOUNCE EXTENSION
VANCOUVER BC - The Vancouver Giants of the WHL are proud to announce that a 3-year extension of their sponsorship agreement with the British Columbia Honda Dealers Association has been signed.
Through this agreement, the BC Honda Dealers Association will continue as a premier sponsor of the Giants through the 2010/2011 WHL season.
Speaking for the Vancouver Giants, majority owner Ron Toigo said, “We couldn’t ask for a better corporate partner than the BC Honda Dealers Association. The dealers have been solid supporters of our team since we dropped the puck for the first time in 2001, and we’re thrilled to see the partnership will extend into our 10th Anniversary Season. At every home game, the Dealers treat local youth teams to a game and refreshments in a private box. And the Association’s Honda vehicle give-away at our annual Fan Appreciation Day is the highlight of the season – just two of the many ways in which having the Honda name associated with the Giants adds enormous fan interest”.
Commenting for the dealer group, BC Honda Dealers Association President Nasir Kamrudin said, “We’ve been a major sponsor of the Vancouver Giants since day one. Honda has a long tradition of being the vehicle of choice for Canadian families. By supporting the Giants, we feel we’re connecting with hockey fans at the grass roots level throughout the Lower Mainland. We’re energized and excited by the passion of the Giants fans, and the consistently high entertainment value of the on-ice product. We’ve been on board with the Giants for 8 years, and we’re delighted that our relationship is continuing.”
The BC Honda Dealers agreement with the Giants further strengthens Honda’s position as an Official Partner of the National Hockey League, and of hockey families everywhere.
The BC Honda Dealers Association is represented in the lower mainland by a network of 14 Honda dealers.
