The Vancouver Giants limped into their Western Hockey League Christmas break Saturday with a 4-0 loss to the Spokane Chiefs. The Giants managed just 15 shots on goal and only seven through the first two periods. The defeat followed Friday night's 9-1 massacre in Tri-Cities. With back-to-back losses, the Giants (16-14-1-4) slipped into third place in the B.C. Division with 37 points, two behind new leader Prince George. Coach Don Hay's skaters now have a week to lick their wounds before re-assembling for practice on Boxing Day. Their next game is Dec. 27 at home against the Kamloops Blazers.
