Shootout road win for Hitmen
By Calgary Sun
Some solid shooting in the skills competition was just what the Calgary Hitmen needed to pull off a come-from-behind 4-3 win Wednesday night in Lethbridge.
Calgary snipers Brooks Macek and Kris Foucault both found the twine in the shootout, while goaltender Michael Snider shut the door on Hurricanes’ shooters at the Enmax Centre.
The Hitmen overcame a 3-1 third-period deficit as Kyle Schmidt scored the tying goal with only 58 seconds remaining in the third period.
Justin Kirsch and Cody Sylvester also scored for Calgary, who outshot Lethbridge 39-24. The two clubs meet up again Friday in Lethbridge.
