I am looking for an old wooden canoe to use in a theatre production of Talley's Folly. It can be in very bad condition (even falling apart) and does not need to float. We are located in New Jersey and I would prefer to find something in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York area. We would like to spend no more than $200. Does anyone know where I may be able to find this or have any resources in that area I could call. Any leads are welcome.
Thanks,
Sarah

Hi Sarah

As you may have seen on our web site the Wooden Canoe Builders' Guild doesn't have any members very close to you. This may explain the lack of a reply to your query. I suggest that you put your request on the forum of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (www.wcha.org). The WCHA has many more members spread throughout the US and Canada and beyond and would probably provide a better chance of getting you what you are looking for.

Good luck.

Doug
