Can you help me identify this canoe? It measures 15' from interior bow stem to interior stern stem, it's 33" wide a few inches beneath the carrying thwart, and it's 12" deep. No serial numbers or evidence of decals could be found on it to the very best of my searching.

I have had a 15' Chestnut and a 16' Louis Picard restored in the recent past and I quite enjoy reading the forums and looking through photos to try and id things myself. However, a few things are throwing me off with this one. The shaped decks, the inwales being scarfed into the decks, and the fact that the screws holding the gunwales on are flathead screws.

Any info would be a big help.

Thank-you,

Paul

Thanks to Mr. Dick Persson for answering my questions over the phone. It appears I have acquired another Huron canoe from the Wendat Indian Reserve in Northern Quebec - this time, most likely a Bastien Bros.

Much Appreciated
