Not able to do the math. Have a 15 ft. cedar strip canoe,wife weighs 130lbs. ,I weigh 230lbs. where do i place the seats in relation to midship?

It is quite easy. You measure the distance to the center of your set from midship. This figure you multiply with your weight.
The figure you get here you will divide with your wifes weight, and now you have the distance from midship to the center of your wifes seat.
