hi ben
I didn't travel quite THAT far - I journeyed from Swindon on the train - had a right nightmare getting to the State 51 office due to underground train delays (plus I had to walk - sorry RUN! - the last bit of the journey as the tube only ran that far at 'peak' times - grrr!)
The "party" went on until the club shut about midnight - I didn't talk to Andy and Lou that much - to be honest I was so shocked to be actually meeting them I went a bit giddy and couldn't think of anything interesting to say!! Besides, there was a constant flood of people meeting them as well and I didn't want to get in their way so I stood back...
I spoke more to their manager (who was a really nice bloke and helped arrange for me to take those final two backstage photos). Oh, I did ask him and Lou what happened to the "Softly" single back in 99 - they said it was only released as a promo and didn't actually seem to realise that there's a proper CD1 and CD2 in existence (god, I wish I had them!!) Also, Andy gave me a copy of the "Gabriel" CD too - he showed me the 12" as well but couldn't give me a copy as it was the only one there...
It was a fantastic night - hope the review and six pages of photos on the site do it justice
i was standing twice really close to andy and lou: in london and once in switzerland, both times i was honestly also more shocked, in a way.
i think we didn`t miss a lot of the party. does the clubs allways close that early in london. is it a law thing?!
i searched about two month a "softly" copy. no way!!! i've some promos from the "fear of fours"...
hey you received a gabriel-single. not bad the release is postponed in switzerland, i think also in the u.k..
please tell me the tracklisting because two tracks are not on teh final version of the album "what sound". "random" and "written"!!!!!!! "random" could be on your single, isn't it!?
you can find written on
www.audiogalaxy.com
but the server is fucking overloaded so i've to wait...
later - ben

Gabriel details...
October 8 2001, 12:29 PM
ok, the UK CD of "Gabriel" has just lots of mixes plus the video. The Australian CD (which I got this morning) has "Gabriel", "Gorecki", "B-Line", "Cotton Wool" and the (hideous!) Veena Harlem mix of "Gabriel". The German CD (coming soon) has "Random" on it.
As for "Written" - I've no idea if that's gonna come out anywhere (unless it's on the UK album which is out today and I'm off to buy soon - yay! )
Oh, and I got both "Random" and "Written" from Audiogalaxy with no probs at all...

"written" and "random"
October 8 2001, 4:58 PM
hey there
thanks for your information. do you`ve some good online-dealers which you could recommand? they should operate worldwide or in europe. i did a lot of bad experiences last time...
i've got "written" and "random" too. the songs are not bad at all... new lamb style of course but well done.
what do you think 'bout the new stuff?!
or better what do you feel about it...
i'm looking especially for a vinyl dealer (online)?
lamb stuff is too hard to find. in zürich we've lots of stores but that kind of music is not well supported. techno, hip-hop and pop... it's a mess.
How did you find out about the secret gig? what was it? like where was it?

Anyone going to be in Amsterdam?
November 4 2001, 8:19 PM
Hi folks,
Gosh, i guess i am jelous at the ones who met them and the special albums! You see, i am a collector and i know i am missing some special item here! hehehe
Anyway, will any of you be going to the Amsterdam gigs in December? I can't wait actually!
yeah i realised the answers to a few of my questions on this site after i had written them in the forum. cheers for the invite the other day by the way. sure i will enjoy using this site alot.
although i truly am a great fan of lambs i have to admit i knew little about all the remixes and special editions. its just that before i've never really followed a band as close as this to feel it was worth buying every single and special edition. but with lamb it seems worthwhile as i have since heard all the bonus tracks and some of the remixes and have to say i quite like a most of them.
are the fear of fours and bonus cd edition still availble. and is that video still availble. if so where from, please.

Got Pics
November 27 2001, 3:07 PM
Daz, I would like to send you some pics from the Leeds gig, but I don't have a scanner or anything... Drop me an email or something if you want the pics, but I'll only send them on the condition that I get them back in mint condition when you've finished scanning. =P
