Hi all,

Does the title 'Gorecki' have any particular significance? I can't figure out what it has to do with the lyrics of the song. I know there was a Polish composer named Gorecki, but other than that I'm completely stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well... put very briefly, (some1 correct me if i get this wrong, tho it would be pretty embarrasing), lou heard gorecki's symphony No.3, loved it, wrote the words we all know and love, recorded it over the symphony, took it to andy and asked him to write a tune that produced the same emotions using her lyrics - hard but they i think they managed it...

as a sided point the symphony is amazing and definitely worth getting.

Yup, I'll second that. I bought the sympony off Ebay quite cheaply. But beware there are good and bad versions of it. I got one that was recommended on Lambstar, can't remember who by...
