I found some used Paughco Evo pipes--I like'em but don't wanna re-chrome them...

for my project that is only supposed to "cost and arm and but not a leg"--but will probably lose the foot, anyway....

So, the chrome is stratched up and blued. But the interior looks ok looking with a flashlight down both ends. Short pipes that flare with permanent, built-in baffles (no fiberglass I'm pretty sure) that taper to fishtail ends. I dig it!

So, I'm interested in what others have done. I've thought about wrapping them to the point where the pipes bulge with the baffles, and then having the rest with the fishtails painted flat black.

Is there a good heat paint I can use, say, after scartching-up the chrome more with a Scotch-bite pad--paint that won't peel off. I know about powercoating, but I want to save money and do all the work myself.

Also, is there an anti-rust rinse, or something, I can use to clean up the inside of the pipes?
