well.
everybody seems to be on holiday.... yawn....
on the debug reviews mailing list some monorelated stuff was discussed as thaddi herrmann (yep, of herrmann & kleine...) reviewed the initial release of surgery records (also telling that they now have a european distributor without naming it... i would love to know... would be handy when i airplay it and people wanna know)...
ok, blabla. the sleepy track seems to be one of the favs of thaddi and he wrote something like "is there more of that stuff?"... someone replied (sebastian herrfurth) and told him "yes, at mono and also gave mentioned older jiva releases... someone else posted some links and so on....

nice to see, he?
ok, bye
ckid
rené

P.s.: i will post the whole thing down there,.. also some kind words about esa´s distance stuff......
here we go:::

Note: soothing minimalistiq ambient muziq EP

Jiva is making his debut with this 'kin amazing EP created in a span of
three months and allready distributed in a limited edition on Hornet...

Starting of with some gameboy mayhem as an intro and than followed
with true masterful ambiental minimalistic works of art that finnaly
concludes in Tiny....

This is a true sound cathartic experience made only for life contemplation
and serious mindwork!
Do not! I repeat: Do not let yourself be drawn away by the soothing strings
in Snapcracklepop...

What's amazing is that Jiva created (almost) all of the samples by himself
using Goldwave and similar sound software....

As a special we are including a MikIT playlist so you can play the tunes in
the right order :)

[note] : over 20 minutes of cathartic eternal music

after some time spent in the unknown regions jiva has returned amongst
us mortals to bring us enlightenment and eternal bliss. unsolicited joy
overwhelmed us when he unveiled his secret - a yet unseen global
multitude of sonic waves tended to spread throughout the world preaching
happiness!
hehe... nonsense is my virtue! the new ep from jiva is here and he's
at his best. the fuzzy ever is so crystal clear, dandelion skippy and
chippy, aborigines sooo over-percussive and wasp helm like a bee sting :)
mikit playlist is enclosed so we are sure you're playing the tunes in
the right order!

Note: happy-happy-happy-happy vibes Note: heavenly blessed happyness

We're proud to bring you another EP from the finnish mastermind of techno.
This time a double track EP in a very happy happy mood. A big change from
his previous style I have to notice, as his latest release on Monotonik.

And notice that Distance changed his email :)

Release: "Washout EP" by Distance
Date: 14.04.1998
Archive: tlt_wash.zip (165 kb)

[side a] [side b]
Song: "Clammy" by Distance Song: "Bothersome" by Distance
Info: 133/5 BPM - 03:54 - 14 ch .IT Info: 130/6 BPM - 05:02 - 11 ch .IT
Note: firm beat outta key driftaway Note: distorted melodic ambient cut

[bonustrack!]
Song: "Flow" by Distance
Info: 125 BPM - inf. - 10 ch .IT
Note: onandon, very stoned bonusbeats

Distance is continuing our minimalistic ambient session in this utterly
ambientalique EP as a guest star...
Its features 3 very demented tracks in Distances fashion full of distortion
and weird beats...
I have listened recently to the FSOL album Dead Cities and I have to say
that if this EP got released on CD it would surely be labelled as an FSOL
release...

And again we include a MikIT playlist to insure that the tunes get played in
the right order :)
