What would be your response to this statement?
'A family is a multigenerational social system consisting of at least two interdependent people bound together by a common living space [at one time or another] and a common history, and who share some degree of emotional attachment to or involvement with one another'.
I have been given an assignment to write on this topic and have almost concluded all of my research,
BUT, i am having difficulty locating any information on 'multigenerational'. I was hoping you may be able to give me some insight with your views?
I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me!

Catherine

The prime function of the family has been, is and always will be the the preservation of the species through the act of unitive and procreative sexual intercourse.

No definition of family should exclude this basic function without which there would be no family as it has been known universally.
