I still receive lotsa e-mail asking me to link this or that site to my own GyG's Sites. Reciprocal links are a good idea, and it can be a help to folks first starting out w/a website, etc. But it can also get outta hand.
Unfortunately, I no longer accept requests from others to add Links to my websites. All the Links you see on my websites are to my own websites.
Several years ago, I had over 800+ of Links from others on my sites; and I was receiving so many daily requests to link more, make changes, etc. that I just couldn't keep up with it.
I thought I had found a solution to the problem by becoming a volunteer editor to ODP (Online Directory Project) where I moved all of the 800 or so Links, and deleted them from my pages. This didn't work for long, they really screwed me on the deal--any of my links that the next higher ranking "volunteer editors" took a liking to, they just helped themselves to and moved the links to categories other than Marines--as you can now see, they now have half the number of Marines links there as I left them with, and they no longer have a "volunteer editor" for their Marines categoty--any takers?

So I departed telling them to stick their operation where the sun don't shine.
Something about human beings that provides that they cannot resist lording it over one another, etc. Not this Marine!
