How can people choose deaths as a price for political revenge?

My prayers go to the family members.

They are monsters. All of them.

My children saw the towers collapse. They are afraid to leave the house now and they don't want me to go to to work anymore. We can't sleep. Other children might have lost their parents. For what???

i know this is easy for me to say (while i had family in and around lower manhatten yesterday - they are all safe), but i truely believe that now is a time of bravery. we must understand what happened and stay focused on preserving our freedom.

my child is too young to undersand what happened, but when he is older i plan to explain to him that we must fight for the virtues our nation and what we represent - feedom and democracy. we must stand strong and not let "them" scare us into inaction.

i am not calling for a vengfull, blood thirsty generation, but too many people have sacraficed their lives to preserve our freedom. they were brave and stong. if not for the memory of all the people who lost their lives yesterday, then for the millions who have sacrificed theirs throughout US history, we must stand and fight.

today - that means leaving the house. that means confronting our fears. tomorrow it may mean something completely different.

These terrorists have destroyed a symbol not only for the US, but other nations as well. They want to create terror, but they have not. They have simply signed their own death warrants. JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED!

The beasts that did this must be punished. Our hearts are with americans.

Thirty days ago the enemy of the American way of life was the face of a Congressman and the he horrific acts he committed. Now there is a new face. A bearded criminal intent on destroying the freedoms associated with the American way of life.

Thirty days ago the American media glossed over the tradegy of terrorism in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Ireland, South Pacific and other places. Now the media teaches that the tradegy of terrorism demands retailiation.

We are told that we are at War. It will be decisive and just. The killing that will come will help to bring an end to the hatred. Killing does not end hatred.
