Our dog

our beautiful dog Harry has come to the end of his life this afternoon....he has had cancer for two years. Though we knew it would come eventually, he showed no signs of suffering until the last few days, where he looked depressed. When I took him in to be checked, the vet told us that our dog had such character that most other dogs would have succumbed to the pain a long time ago...but....now it was time to help him, she said he was in significant pain, though you wouldn't know it just to look at him. I took him home so that we could all say goodbye, and right now my poor husband has taken him back there for the final time.

We are all torn apart right now, my nine year old son especially, Harry is ten, Chris is nine and the two of them grew up together.
