and another one at the Premier Forum ..

You know - the little editor in your Profile/Account menue... when it is activated all the added scripts are not working on postpages any more. In case you would like to have a look in it... I 'll have a look, too, but I don't have much time yet, and... you are the programmer in our 'relationship' lol.

good night.. my bed is calling.. cya.good luck

it use's the innerHTML properties tag, I did play around long ago and created a very simple cool editor that worked to some degree the some as the wysiwyg Editor here and sadly I deleted the pages I created tho, learned about it here, sorry I can't find the reference to it but will keep looking.
This is where I got my idea of the unfinished "Quick preview" at the bottom of the post page

looking at the souce code useing the wysiwyg editor, yes I think we could add more functions such as the smilies, It wouldn't be hard at all

Check it out, I think I have figured it out, now all I have to do is incorporate it into the smilie script

Set your wysiwyg editor and check out the post page... you'll see the text "WYSIWYG editor test" with 2 smilies to test with the wysiwyg editor

good job !!

And it is browser related. .

The wysiwyg-editor only works in IE.  So ... it works fine here    (hey... you can set the icons at any place/focus  in the text.. that's neat!)

Alas all the page css-commands (color of message-box...) are useless, if the w-editor is related lol. Nothings perfect, huh?

When I use the w.-editor with Firebird-browser it does not show up, it does nothing with the two extra w-smilies.  But works as usual with the before added scripts.

I knew we could rely on you in this. well done!

(ps.. this wysiwyg-thing confuses me much... )

Its great isn't it but the w-editor is not for me.

Crying I am having trouble figuring out how to detect that the w-editor is in use or not.

1 way to do it would be to have 2 smilie popup windows for the user to choose from... 1 for the w-editor, the other for the plain message editor
