First the Super news....

I figured out how to put ram music files in a player and have them play in both browsers.... and along the way I found out how to take music files and make a list of songs and sounds into a ram file so that it all plays continues....

I have done this with the music playing on this site:

it plays footsteps, creeking door, hellow message and 3 songs....LOL

If you click the Jute Box above the player you will open my music index and under Halloween are 10 songs (RAM) each embeded in a player and will play just like the others.

Now the good news....

It finally dawned on me to use one of my forum names (the site above) to make a mirror site of BarB's forum so that I could fix the Edit and emoticon box (code) and i did it ....and gave her the information to put into her forum so it would work....

I am getting so smart....

so now I can put almost any music ext on the music index....and I also learned how to do that thng that is on that website with just the on buttons....remember that music site you liked? I can do that now and they are in ram fromats but single songs in the ram file.

I know I have a lot of things still to learn....learn something new everyday.... but I am getting the hang of Java....to a point...still have a long way to be as smart as you though.

the edit box works on my mirror froum and on mine fowl forum but it will not work on Barb's forum...I give up...

I've just had a ½ pie look at her source code and noticed the cookie script missing

i am confused as to why you would want them to be mp3 files...are not mp3 files huge...do you make them mp3 and then put them into a ram file format?

It is funny because the ram files are like less than 1kb so it says in the file manager...wierd. still not sure how all that works just that it does.

all you do to make a ram file is to open a text doc and then paste in the url of the song or s ongs that you want and then just save as a .ram file and that is the one you p ut in the player for the URL...

for the life of us we can not figure out why the edit box won't work.

Cookie????? where is it suspose to go? and what does it do... ????? and is it a function of the edit box? I am in the dark here....lights out and all...

Me too as it always is hard to network with some/most people on the net...I don't know how many script writers I have e-mailed with questions on jpg's but they all have never bothered to reply....Makes it harder to figure out things but...We will prevail....read, read, read,,LOL Untill I met you and Ed I was a totally self taught on the computer....and internet. it is so nice to have someone to bounce things of of and get ideas from and share with...most of my forum members (friends) are totally computer illiterate...and are very hard to talk computer to...although they come to me for answers...which are all very general and basic...thank God..

Well when you get a moment no rush please see check out why the edit won't work... I would like to pack it up in a little file and beable to tote it around to the other sites....I can do that with the emoticon's file...just copy and paste them where ever I am....but the edit box would be great to use....I bet that it could be used in the same way....then I would not care who has it on their site....LOL I could just tote my own around... ya think you could put the whole edit code in a ecterier file.... You know, Ed's emoticons are in a seperate file.... maybe the code she used could be used to make the edit box portable.

Oh well just a thought...LOL

I use an out dated MP3 Player and my DVD player also plays MP3.

She has been a great help..well actually she has done it all!! LOL
The edit box was giving me headaches..it was working fine on her mirror board of my board but my board was not working...finally saw a message from her on my messenger ..went to the mirror board...clicked on view source and copied the code for edit box and then paste it on my board and deleted the other edit box code..and it WORKED!!! LOL

ok so you have an m3 player....but when you put the music in your web file in mp3 fromat you can then put them in a .ram file and make them smaller for inputting them into the site itsself or where ever you want to put them. Like if you were going to do a page like the Music page with a bunch on the page that have on buttons....you would want them in Ram so the page loads better..??? i think...or do a play list in txt and put the ram file on a site.

If you are just using them for your own entertainment then there is no problems...LOL

We are going to have to get yur tunes on a player like my jute box...thingy so that you can take them as you surf...

yes finally and it was BarB that did it.... you know how NW54 is....sometimes things have to be copied from original and sometimes it can be copied from the source... really had Me and Barb going nuts... problem is that we don't know what was the problem so if someone else wants to p ut it on their site.....and it stuffs up....we get to do this again..Maybe the best thing is for them to go over to the mirror site and just copy the source....

I still need to get the code from Ed's pop up window emoticons and work on mine... so that they will post directly... but like you I have a ton of irons on the fire...
