You know that mare I got, well she keeps bucking me off. I am afraid to get back on. She broke my right thumb and pinched a nerve in my right knee! Can you help me? Thanks!

Well Sarah, if you know someone who is a more experianced rider that can handle bucking, you should have them ride your mare and "buck her out." We just got one in that had a bucking problem and when I got on him he tried to throw me but he didn't knwo who he was messing with so everytime he'd buck I'd smack him with the crop and gave him a good kick when he did so and did what i call "bucking them out." It worked, he knows whos boss now and doesn't even try to throw me or anyone else off his back.

I totally agree. That's what I do and it works well. My gelding bucks everyonce in a while just to show his annoyance, and gets a whack but for the main part I can excuse it just because he is telling me I'm pushing his buttons. I also rode an app who was like that and did it to my 10 year old friend, and I and I would get after him so bad he'd end up in a full lather. I'd always feel bad but everytime I was about to quit he'd buck again and I have to quit on a good note. So everyime I could feel him about to buck I'd jerk his head up and push him on even if it looked kinda wild. It worked, but he just would rather be a pasture orniment.

But when they try to get you off, get a person on her who knows how to handle a horse like that. Any reason why she might want to do that?

If you can't ride your horse, you have one that is to difficult fo your experience level. Riding should be fun, not scary, Get another horse, one who will let you ride him/her.
