Hey! My name is Kayla. I own a 25 year old Morgan gelding who is my pride & joy. He was my very first horse, we've been riding together for almost 7 years now. Gunther, is a midnight black beauty! We have shown, in the past...though now we are both retired together to pleasure riding & lots of wonderful trails. College unfortunately keeps me too busy to show....and Gunther seems to enjoy the extra time off in His senior years.

I was turned off of showing by the lack of love that I found there. It seemed to me more about money then the enjoyment of riding. I saved up for Gunther since I was 5 years old. He cost me a whoppin $500.00.... and is the best horse ever. Gunther and I seem to have a horse/rider connection that is often lost in the horse world these days. If He's not the right horse for my show ring.....I'm not going to sell Him and move on to bigger and better....I'm switching the ring so that it fits Him better. I love Gunther....*smiles* I'd rather have a horse to love.....then a horse to ride...or a horse to show.....

I guess I'll have to introduce Maximo next time. winks

Sorry....lol....got a little carried away! What can I say....I'm in horsey love!

~Kayla

I love my morgan too
He's 19 almost 20. He is still going strong in the showring but He loves a good trail ride. When I first bought Tally I knew he was the one for me but a month after we bought him he was badly injured in a pasture accident. It was a puncture wound to the hock. So we took him to a equine hostipal were they fixed him up but they gave him a 85 percent chanch of ever being ridable again but we got through it! You can barely tell !! He enjoys racing the other morgans at the barn!!
