This is dead wrong. Yoga requires a lot of strength and works out all the tiny stabilizing muscles in a big way - by incorporating balance, stability of poses, and flexibility into one. If you've ever tried it you'd know that your muscles get a big workout, particularly those little guys that you tend not to be worked out in the gym.
If injuries occur, it is typically because people end up targetting an underdeveloped muscle group too much and too fast, straining themselves.
...that being said I don't know how the hell you would judge this. The person who acquires zen first or can wrap their legs around their head wins?
