Yes, this is yet anther recruitment call for any interested paddlers looking to join 2 fairly advanced Montreal Dragon Boat teams. Our teams have over 3 years experience each and we're looking to round off our crews with some solid, strong, reliable people! We're well underway with our indoor training and will be hitting the water in early May.
We're looking for individuals who are in good physical shape, have flexible work schedules and have great team spirit. For more information on times and location, please email me at carlton1@videotron.ca or carleton.jones@telus.com
what's the name of the team? Wongs? Verdun? Rammin Dragons? Those are the only Montreal teams I know of.

The names are Sun Dragons and Savage Dragons . Both teams have more than 60% of their crew made up of 3rd year veterans. We're both corporately sponsored.
Thanks

3 years are hardly veterans. more like juniors. next year they graduate to senior.

Jeez, talk about sour! Who died and made you king shit? Tell me, when you got kicked off your team was it because you thought you knew everything or you just managed to piss everyone off?
To the original poster: Best of luck in your recruitment.

Well....

Well, lets be honest here. In a sport thats growing as fast as dragonboat, 3 years seems to be a lot of experience.
For love of the sport

I agree with Draonboat Junkie. Just because YOU couldn't make the cut at the 'Dragoboat Special Olympics' doesn't mean you should take your frustrations out on people looking for recruits.
If you were on my team, we'd have smoked your fat ass a long time ago dude.
Too bad you're not from TO, I know a few people who could've helped.

am I missing something?

It seems like a couple posters know wo the 'sour grapes' poster is. How do you know that he/she is not from TO?

Captain,
I think they were referring to the original poster, from Mtl.
And to Mr. negative Anonymous there, some good teams - X-paddlers, Piranhas, Hammerheads, Shaolin Monks are a few - that I think may have achieved some success by their 3rd year with 3rd year paddlers or less. As someone once mentioned out here, it's not the 'years' that matter, as a first year may have as much experience as a fifth year in terms of practice and race experience, depending on their team. I still get annoyed with some 3rd years who talk too much and who aren't that good, but that's another story...
