what a great feeling to be out on the water again. cold but not that cold! all is right in the world again!

1st practice?? ( poor easties)...............man we never stopped.We were even racing in - 8 weather on the west coast and I lost the feeling in my hands & some on teams had to be treated for hypothermia. Wimps.........lol ......a little cold ,ice ,snow ,whatever never killed anyone .

East kicks West's ass on regular basis.
Now imagine how bad we'd kick your asses if bodies of water we practice on didn't freeze and we could train outside all year...

The off season has it's uses. Time to rest up injuries and/or build up strength and power through cross training. May also prevent paddler burn out.

This prooves we don't need to paddle outdoors all year around.

well, among other things he/she could be talking about National Team sanctions. been a while since vancouver formed the national team.

I have an idea. It's a novel one. One that hasn't been heard of before.

Why don't we have a East vs. West flame throwing session. Lets really get nasty and call each other names and argue about who beats who. that sort of thing.

What do you guys think?

After we're done with the East vs West flame war, we can start a new one about Flatties vs Dragon Boaters. You know, how flatties are all cool and everything while dragon boaters look funny in spandex. Great fun.
