anyone get their hands on one of the new grey owl composites or have any clue what the price is?

I've had a chance to try out the new "Jet" paddle. Jeff (Paddlesport Racing) has a demo paddle.

The paddle feels great. The weight is perfectly balanced, and the oval shaft is really comfortable in your hands. Several teammates have already placed orders for the paddle. Price is pretty good for such a high quality paddle.

My team had ordered a bunch of grey owl high performance paddles-- did anyone else notice that the new paddles were lighter (by feel) than last year's high performance's?

thanks a lot everyone. its between that and the ZRE for me. i was gonna get a burnwater but with all the problems they are having i decided against it.

onlu problem w/ the burnwater is the wait .Huge demnd for this paddle and they just can't seem to keep up .I have mine but took almost 4-5 months to get it

The Grey Owl carbon is no lighter than their high performace paddle. Unless you're a 200+ lbs bruiser you don't need to spend the big dollars on a composite paddle. In fact, the slight flex you get in the wood paddle helps to prevent common shoulder injuries. Trust me.

is this grey owl paddle the one with the carbon fiber handle section?

no. they just came out with a completely carbon composite.
