many thanks for your incredibly helpful response, however, I've contacted the organizers and they won't be sending out results until the end of the week. Another reason to love FMG.
Since we didn't feel like hanging around for 4 hours to find out where we placed (after they announced the awards for "Most Spirit" "Best Costume" and "Most Organized Team") I was hoping someone who was there could help me out.

FMG organizes an odd race format. Teams in the same division final don't necessarily compete against each other in the same race to win the division. 15 teams spread out over 5 races and best time wins division.?????

Makes no sense.

FMG should take some pointers from GWN.

If you still race in an FMG regatta, you deserve what you get.

What a shame. Guelph was a really fun regatta in it's first couple of years. I agree that any of the other race organizers could bring this one back from the dead. But if 60+ teams want to put up with this crap, then how can I say they're doing anything wrong?
