1 st race 10 am ,lucky you 6/16 in your first heat and your competiton .......Capital Iron .Hmmm have been a tough team in the past yrs but this yr have alot of newbies so not sure what to expect .Better come out w/ paddles ablazing is all I will say as they have you seated # 2 against them figuring Capital Iron is the faster team .

My 1 suggestion to you all is when you get there friday ...........go directly to the gemini's and spend some valuable time in them because if you don't you will pay the price .............don't come back in off the water until you are comfortable in them (god ......you'll be out there all nite probably ,lol)

Over half of the crew is already in Vancouver.

We have raced in many different boats, so I am sure we will adapt the best we can. We have several crew members who lived in Vancouver and we were at ALCAN 2 years ago so we are familiar with 6/16's and ALCAN in general. The Gemini's will be a new experience (putting it mildly).

Anyway, as always, we are there to have fun and enjoy the sport. The crew is pumped and looking forward to see our friends from LARD, Killer Guppies, BAD & ROLI.

Don't expect a big East vs West show down

The one at the site goes till 11 pm and then a short distance away is 2 others .1 at the Roxy (it's country nite and straw hats are for sale at the door) ...it's a popular downtown club and it offers free admission and 1 free drink to paddlers and the other is $10 and tickets aval from Roli and it's at the Gorilla club and they feature a mechanical bull for those who didn't get enough of a beating at Alcan .Corona's are $2.50 and so is Jack Daniels .

Well ... I'm on the GRPC crew not Capital Iron. Just sending out a friendly Islander hello - didn't mean to mislead.

We're not that exciting really. It's only 2 more days and then we'll ALL see how we're ALL doing!!
