The 10th annual Stratford Rotary Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Saturday, September 17. We are accepting 64 teams and have 20 openings left.

Teams will race in either Breast Cancer Survivor, Out of Town or Local Divisions. The top 2 teams from local and top 2 out of town teams will race for The Grand Championship Trophy.

Please consider adding us to your schedule and we will promise you a great day of racing, entertainment and fun. It's always an excellent event to finish out the season and is fairly priced at $695.

For more information and to book online, see www.rotarystratford.com and to everyone who has booked, thanks for your support

Hey Kevin,

Noticed this on another tread and was wondering if you had finalized how you would be seeding the local and visiting teams into the grand final?

Also, any idea how many Local, visiting and BCS teams are registered so far?

Lane Selection.

No seeding this year. We will just be doing a straight draw out of a hat. We feel that we have solved any lane issues. Last year, each lane was quite fair and that can be verified by the results.

See www.rotarystratford.com for list of teams so far.

We hope that you will help us celebrate our 10th anniversary. We are going to have some outstanding entertainment throughout the day to make this festival special.

I think they meant, how will you determin which lanes the top two teams from the local and visiting finals get in the grand final. Will be be purely by time or will the 1/2 in each be seeded into specific lanes?

By the way, I still think that no matter how even you think things are, putting all the top teams into the same lane for their first race is a given. Anything else doesn't make sense. Lane one and two may be a toss up, but lane 4 and 1? Maybe not so much.
