Actually it was pretty funny. There was a team from France and I think one from Swiss and they were just friends and family of the ICF Dragon Boat Committee members from those countries who had never been in a boat before the day. Having said that, both organizations have huge problems with their world championships and petty politics festering within their executives. The new IDBF Executive looks pretty weak but maybe that's what Haslam wants so he can keep running the show as he sees fit under the watchful lazy eye of the Chinese. Not that there's anything wrong with that if he's the only one doing the work. I'd feel the same way.
