New IDBF WebsiteAugust 23 2005 at 9:42 AM | Dboat Surfer |
| This is old news, relatively speaking, but the IDBF has finally revamped their website.
www.idbf.org
It has a lot of holes in it at this point, but it's better than the old archive hosted on the BDA site.

isn't that nice
they charge athletes $300 each, give them about $1 day worth of food and then after the glorified festival called the worlds they get a new website
Do they accept paypal on the new website? |

Have you checked out Toronto's CCWC website?
"organized by paddlers for paddlers" is the motto. President of OC? Henderson, a sailor. VP? Sharifa Khan.
Has either one ever paddled?

I wonder if they've started to build the new 500m race course on the waterfront? |

There are a few places where the existing breakwall has been patched (you can see fresh white cement). There are one or two openings that have been closed with rocks. Nothing new has been built. |

The contract has been awarded so construction should start soon! The wall is shortened to 600m from 650m though with an 8m cap instead of 10m as orignially planned. |

"What are the race distances at CC?"
The answer is 500m & 200m, or whatevever fits. Plus a 2000m turning race if it fits and doesn't get cancelled.
They used to do 250m races, but 200m is now the standard short race. 2006 will be the first debut of 200m at the Club Crews.
Cape Town had 430m as the long race because that was what they could safely fit. | |
