4th!

August 30 2005, 10:16 AM

Good news about Montreal Thunder. Did they wash ride all the way or tie a motor to their boat?

2:18 is hardly amazing for Thunder...

No...Montreal Thunder did not wash ride nor did they attach a motor to the boat. They paddled as hard as they could in a lousy lane.

Lane 4 sucks!

August 31 2005, 10:03 AM

Unfortunately Thunder got stuck in lane 4. Most teams that raced in lane 4 had a good 8 to 9 seconds onto their time.

Our best time of the day was in Lane 4. The weather was not accurate and this could be why you didn't like your race in lane 4.
Great weekend it was.

Poetic justice if Thunder got stuck in lane 4. Never heard of a team more disliked for its outrageous wash riding (or outright cheating). Not so easy to cross the finish line when the MIDBRF isn't there to turn a blind eye to your poor behaviour is it?

Lane 4 sucks!

August 31 2005, 1:56 PM

I have to agree that it was a fabulous week-end! It is very possible that the weather could have affected the races. I cannot comment on the "poor behavior" as I did not race with Thunder.

Dear Anonymous,

Please define this "poor behavior" you accuse Thunder of. Do I sense a little jealousy here?

I have to agree! What is with this poor behavior?

Poor behaviour definition

I think the person is refering to MT's steer's washriding abilities. He could practically steer both boats at once he gets so close.

Re: Sherbrooke

September 1 2005, 9:53 PM

all the power to him if he can steer 2 boats at once...
no but really, if no disqualification takes place then it's objectively judged to be within the rules... soooo quit the moaning!

I agree with Flash...stop your moaning please. Thunder is a great team with a great coach...and have terrific shirts as well.

Doesn't matter, as long as you have fun and you did you best.
Congratulations also to BMO Groupe Financier, RBC Comets, Chasse Galerie!

Where is the Sherbrooke race held?

Anonymous

Look at the times

September 4 2005, 8:48 PM

There was nothing wrong with Lane 4. RBC didn't give Montreal Thunder a chance to wash ride. Thunder finished 6 seconds behind the 1st place team. That's what happens when you can't wash ride. Other teams who raced in lane 4 didn't do that poorly.

Final A
1 BMO Groupe Financier 2:12.220
2 RBC Comets 2:14.120
3 Chasse Galerie 2:14.370
4 Montréal Thunder 2:18.140

Nothing against the paddlers but your steerperson/coach is your biggest liability. Nobody will respect your team while he continues to cheat at festivals.

September 5 2005, 12:46 PM

Who said MTL thunder uniforms are great ?
Man, when I look at those colours I'm thunderstruck and feel like there MUST have been blind when they choose those colours ! Probably worst color match of all.
Hello....... earth calling the fashion designers. Could u make suitable uniforms for that MTL Thunder team ? What ????? How can u design a wash riding uniform u said ?

Hey "Want Some",

How about first learning proper grammar before posting?
And yes, I do paddle with Thunder. It sounds like that's a problem for you. Sorry our team bugs you so much...did we ride your wash too?
